The brand new JumpStart Competition will take place at the National Indoor Arena, Sport Ireland Campus, Snugborough Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, D15 EPN4 on the weekend of 20th & 21st May 2023. Gymnastics Ireland (GI) have not yet provided specific information about which day or the times. This information won’t be available until much closer to the time. The entry fee for the competition is €65 per gymnast. Late entries will not be accepted by GI and the entry fee is non-refundable.

We are planning to bring gymnasts to 2 sections of this competition:
1. JumpStart Trampolining
2. JumpStart Acro

JumpStart Trampolining
Gymnasts compete individually and are required to perform 3 times. Boys and girls may compete and there are 3 different levels. The majority of children who attend our one-hour recreational classes or the teen classes would be capable of competing. If a gymnast has already competed at NSP level, they are not eligible to compete at JumpStart level.

JumpStart Acro
Gymnasts compete in pairs performing a routine involving individual skills and pair skills on a 12m strip of mats. Boys and girls may compete and again there are 3 different levels.

Gymnasts born in 2014 or before are welcome to tryout for this event. If your child would be interested in taking part, please complete this form by Sunday 9th April.

The entry deadline for this event is Friday 14th April so gymnasts who are interested in competing will be required to attend a training session on Tuesday 11th April between 12 and 3pm so we can allocate them to a suitable level (gymnasts won’t be required to be there for the full 3 hours, we will allocate times once we know how many are interested). If there is a lot of interest, we will have to do an in-club competition at that training session to decide who will go forward. Please let your child know that this could be the case.

Training for this competition will take place on Thursdays between 5.00pm and 8.00pm on the following dates (again the gymnasts won’t be required to be there for the full 3 hours, we will allocate times once we know how many will be involved). 

• April: 20th & 27th
• May: 4th, 11th & 18th

Parents/guardians will be required to travel to Dublin with their child(ren). Coaches will be in attendance on the day but will only be responsible for the gymnasts during their competition rotation time.

We are closed on Friday 17th March – St Patrick’s Day.

• Friday 7.00-7.25pm: Secondary school girls & boys
• Saturday 1.00-1.55pm: 4th, 5th & 6th class girls & boys

We are not taking names on a waiting list for September 2023. Closer to the summer we will post information here and on social media about September 2023.

Details of our summer camps will be published at the beginning of May. The summer camps are open to non-members.

All of our current members should receive payment requests by email by Monday 13th at the latest. Please check your email for this. Thank you.

If anyone has decided not to return please let me know so I can open up the space for someone else.

Our EASTER CAMP is now open for bookings:

It will take place on Monday 3^rd to Friday 7^th April 2023 (5 days) at 10am-2pm daily. The cost is €120. It is only open to to members of Salto Gymnastics (girls & boys) age 5-12.

Members can make a booking via the LoveAdmin app. If you click on “classes” you will see the Easter Camp. Click on it to make a booking. If the camp is fully booked it will no longer be possible to make a booking. Payments for the camps will be taken via LoveAdmin only. Full payment must be made by March 20^th.

The Easter Camp is only open to Salto members because Gymnastics Ireland does not offer camp insurance for non-members at Easter. This is only available for summer camps.

We will run Summer Camps on the following dates:

• 17 – 21 July
• 24 – 28 July
• 31 July – 4 August
• 8 – 11 August (4 days only)
• 14-18 August

The summer camps will be open to non-members. We will open the summer camps for bookings after Easter.

A coaching course is taking place at Salto on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th February at 9.30am-5.30pm daily so classes are not taking place on Saturday 9am-4pm or Sunday 9am-2pm.

Gymnasts are not required to buy the club kit. They are welcome to wear their own leotards, shorts, leggings, etc. However, if your child is representing Salto in any capacity, they are required to wear the club kit.

PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILD’S NAME IS ON ALL OF THEIR CLUB STUFF. 

650 children and teenagers attended classes at Salto Gymnastics each week.

Children can join once they are 5 years old (and in Junior Infants ideally). We don’t run classes for Under 5s or for Adults.

The GymABLE & Special Olympics Classes take place on Monday.

The competitive Trampolining Programme takes place on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday (invitation only).

The Display Group train on Saturday (invitation only).

The GymSTART Classes take place on Thursday.

Recreational/Participation Classes (including both gymnastics & trampolining) for Primary School Children take place on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

Teen Classes (including both gymnastics & trampolining) take place on Wednesday and Friday.

All of our classes (except the Friday 7pm Teen Class) are fully booked for Term 2 which runs to the middle of March.

Term 3 will commence the following week. Any spaces for new members for Term 3 will be made available to book through this LINK.
